Capability — nine practice areas

Everything between an idea and an operating business.

Take one practice or take all nine. Most clients start with one urgent thing and add the rest as the business grows into them.

01

Market entry & incorporation

Fixed-fee project

A UK company can be incorporated in a day. Making it a functioning subsidiary that satisfies your group auditor, your bank's KYC team and HMRC takes rather longer, and that is the part people underestimate.

We handle the structure and the paperwork end to end, and we brief your head office on the parts of UK company law that will look unfamiliar — particularly the persons-with-significant-control regime and director duties.

Incorporation

Company formation, articles, share classes and issued capital appropriate to the group structure.

Registered presence

Registered office, trading address, mail handling and director service address.

Tax registrations

Corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, and the EORI number if you are moving goods.

Ongoing statutory

Confirmation statement, registers, PSC filings and the annual calendar of deadlines.

02

Banking & finance operations

Project, then managed service

UK bank account opening is the single most common point of failure for foreign-owned companies. Applications are refused on file quality and on institution choice far more often than on the underlying business.

We build the application pack, choose institutions that will underwrite your ownership structure, and manage the KYC process to a decision. The decision is always the bank's — what we control is preparation and pace.

Account opening

High-street, challenger and multi-currency options, matched to your structure and volumes.

Payments & FX

Payment rails, card programmes, expense controls and approval workflows.

Bookkeeping

Day-to-day ledger, reconciliations, VAT returns and year-end preparation.

Reporting

Monthly management accounts in your group format, not a generic template.

03

Hiring & talent

Per assignment

The first UK hire sets the trajectory of the whole operation, and it is usually made by people who do not know the market. We scope the role against what the market will actually pay, map the candidate pool, and run a structured selection process.

Contracts, right-to-work checks and onboarding run alongside the search rather than after it, so a start date does not slip on paperwork.

Search & selection

Role scoping, market mapping, longlist to offer, with structured scoring.

Contracts

Employment contracts, contractor agreements, IR35 position and restrictive covenants.

Compliance

Right-to-work checks, record keeping and the employment paperwork behind each hire.

Onboarding

Pre-boarding, equipment, induction plan, probation reviews.

04

Payroll, HR & compliance

Monthly managed service

Payroll is unforgiving: it is either right on the day or it is a problem with your staff and with HMRC. We run it as a managed service — RTI submissions, auto-enrolment, statutory leave, benefits and year-end.

Where you are not ready for an entity, we can employ staff on your behalf through an employer-of-record arrangement and transfer them across when the entity is live.

Payroll

Monthly RTI payroll, payslips, P60s, PAYE settlements and HMRC correspondence.

Pensions

Auto-enrolment set-up, assessment, contributions and re-enrolment cycles.

HR advisory

Handbooks, policies, performance issues, grievances and exits.

Employer of record

Compliant UK employment before your entity is trading.

05

Office & workplace

Project, fee agreed at scoping

An office decision is a multi-year financial commitment made, usually, on a tour and a feeling. We put numbers against it — serviced against leasehold across a realistic growth curve, including the costs that do not appear in the headline rent.

We act for you, not for the landlord, and we are not paid by the building.

Requirement & search

Headcount modelling, location analysis, shortlist and viewings.

Commercial modelling

Total occupancy cost, break clauses, rent-free, dilapidations exposure.

Negotiation

Heads of terms agreed on your side of the table, with solicitors instructed.

Fit-out & move

Design, contractor tender, programme management, snagging and relocation.

06

Workplace technology

Project, then optional support

Most small-company IT estates are the accumulated result of individual decisions taken under time pressure. Building the identity, device and security layers properly at the start costs very little more and avoids a painful remediation later.

We design and build it, then either support it ourselves or hand it to your incoming IT lead fully documented.

Identity & productivity

Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, tenant design, groups, email and file structure.

Devices

Procurement, imaging, MDM enrolment, patching and lifecycle replacement.

Network

Circuits, firewall, Wi-Fi design, structured cabling and meeting-room AV.

Security & support

MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection, backup, and a service desk with an SLA.

07

CRM & business systems

Fixed-fee project

CRM projects fail on process and data, not on software. We start by mapping how the business actually sells and delivers — including the parts that live in someone's inbox — and only then choose and configure the platform.

We are not a reseller for any vendor, so the recommendation follows the requirement.

Process mapping

Current state, target state, and the decisions that need making in between.

Selection

Requirement-led comparison of HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics and the practical alternatives.

Build & migrate

Configuration, pipelines, automation, integrations and data migration with cleansing.

Adoption

Role-based training, adoption tracking and the reporting layer for management.

08

AI & automation

Assessment, then build

We take a narrow view of this deliberately. AI earns its place on high-volume, rules-light, text-heavy work — quoting, document handling, inbox triage, report drafting. Everywhere else it usually adds cost and risk.

What we build runs against your own data, keeps a human approval step on anything that leaves the business, and comes with a written governance position you can put in front of a client or an auditor.

Assessment

Process inventory, volume and effort data, and an honest shortlist — including what to leave alone.

Internal assistants

Assistants grounded in your documents, quotes, tickets and historic correspondence.

Document automation

Extraction, drafting and routing for quotes, orders, invoices and reports.

Governance

Data handling, model choice, retention, approval workflow and staff policy.

09

Governance, risk & assurance

Ongoing

The unglamorous layer that becomes urgent exactly once. We put the framework in place and then hold the calendar, so nothing lapses because the person who used to remember it has left.

Regulated work is delivered by named partner firms, appointed and managed by us, with their fees visible to you.

Contracts

Customer and supplier templates, NDAs, and a signing and storage process.

Data protection

ROPA, privacy notices, DPAs, retention schedule and breach procedure.

Insurance & H&S

Cover review against actual exposure; risk assessments and statutory duties.

Calendar

One schedule of every statutory and contractual deadline, owned and monitored.
