About — HSBG
An operations firm. Not a deck factory.
Built by people who spent years being the ones who actually had to open the bank account, sign the lease and make the payroll run.
01 — Why we exist
Advice is cheap and abundant. Someone who owns the outcome and answers the phone at six on a Friday is not.
The same conversation kept happening. A capable, well-funded company would arrive in the UK and lose months to logistics — not to competition or regulation, but to the sheer number of small operational tasks nobody owned.
The market's answer was to hand them a list of suppliers. Ours was to do the work.
We're deliberately not a consultancy in the traditional sense. We produce analysis where a decision needs it — then we implement the decision.
The measure of an engagement is whether the business is operating, not whether the report was well received.
02 — How we operate
Four commitments.
We tell you when not to buy something
Including from us. Much of what gets sold to growing companies — premium software tiers, oversized offices, automation of things that barely run — doesn't pay for itself. We'll say so.
Everything is registered to you
Domains, tenancies, licences, bank mandates and contracts sit with your company from day one. We hold administrative access, never ownership. Exit is a documented handover written into the terms.
Named people, not a resource pool
A named lead for the engagement and named owners per workstream. The person in the meeting is the person doing the work.
Commercial transparency
Fixed fees where scope is definable. Any introduction fee or supplier commission is disclosed in the proposal and credited against your invoice.
03 — Boundaries
What we don't do.
A firm that claims to do everything is either lying or spread thin. These are the lines.
Delivered by named partner firms — solicitors and auditors. We appoint them, hold them to the programme and make their fees visible. We don't pretend the capability is in-house.
We run finance operations — bookkeeping, payroll, management accounts. We don't give investment advice or design tax structures. A partner firm advises; we implement the consequences.
We build the commercial infrastructure — CRM, pipeline, reporting, outbound tooling. We don't write your positioning or run your media. We'll work alongside the agency that does.
We turn down work we can't staff with the people who scoped it. Being told no at the outset is cheaper than being told halfway through.
04 — People
The partners.
Four partners, supported by specialists per discipline. No pyramid.
